    A musical that originally debuted on Broadway in 1934, "Anything Goes" follows a lowly Wall Street broker named Billy Crocker. Crocker has stowed away aboard the SS American to chase the girl of his dreams, Hope Harcourt.  The cast and crew are ready to unveil their production to the Wilsonville community Thursday, Feb. 23rd.     An invitation to perform at the Northwest Conference of the National Music Educators Association is one of the most prestigious honors a high school choir in Oregon can receive.   • Middle School Students Bring Science Fair to Life

    Dozens of middle school students from all over the West Linn-Wilsonville School District gathered together Friday, Feb. 3, for the annual CREST-Jane Goodall Science Symposium Middle School Science Fair.  There they shared projects they've spent months preparing with judges, family members and fellow students before an awards ceremony that highlighted the best of the best. Greetings West Linn-Wilsonville School Community -

There is a word in the African Nguni Bantu language, Ubuntu, which has various interpretations, but has a general definition that humans can work towards the common good. Ubuntu implies a connectedness between us all. Nelson Mandela explained ubuntu as this: A traveler through a country would stop at a village and he didn’t have to ask for food or for water.  Once he stops, the people give him food and attend to him.  “Ubuntu is a philosophy that considers the success of the group above that of the individual,” adds Stephen Lundin, organizational culture expert.


The work and role of the Boundary Task Force in helping us collectively work through the middle school boundary adjustment process exemplified UbuntuOn the evening of February 6th, our School Board unanimously approved the new middle school boundary map for our district.  Our school board aptly recognized that the task before the group was complex and affected thousands of individuals in a number of ways.  There would be no perfect solution for everyone, but there could be a workable solution for the good of the whole.  Task Force members set aside personal gains to work collectively for all the children and families in the district: Ubuntu.
